Goju Kata is full of wrestling Ju Jitsu, grappling and ground work routines. This is an extensive subject and needs practise and instruction. All Karate practitioners should learn how to Wrestle and apply ground work techniques.

Wrestling has some limitations, it would be foolish to Wrestle in multiple opponent self defence situations. While you are Wrestling one opponent the others are probably kicking the ****** out of you.

However, a good all round knowledge of Wrestling can get you out of tricky situations and in some circumstances Wrestling cannot be avoided.

Study the Kata Bunkai for Wrestling applications - there are a great many.
Also try some
Wrestling with
an experienced
opponent who
will teach
you some
of the moves.
